This product only works a couple of times then it fails, already replaced it twice. The second one almost started a fire in the a/c unit.

Install was easy. But this product is a get what you pay for. It's cheap, run for maybe 36 hrs total , about the 3rd or 4th time I turn it on, I heard some noise and went to look and my ac cover was glowing orange. Lucky I was in the rv to turn it off before it caught on 🔥

So you know what your getting into.This basically turns your rooftop AC into an electric space heaterIt should be compatible with a huge majority of them but some models install easier than othersMine only has a couple inches at the end and will require a vertical install up into the ductingI'll need to remove the shrouding, bracketing and reseal to install it, there only a couple inches on the side. I'm planning replacing one unit and rebuilding the other soon so it will have to wait until then.Look at the item pictures and watch some install videos online and take your plastic shrouding off in the interior to which one you have.No instructions, you may also need to flip some dip-switches in the Ac or thermostat.

Bought one for each unit. Only 1 worked for about an hour. Second unit worked for 2 days. Replacement arrived and installed on my unit. Started the unit and after about 10 minutes sparks started flying out with molten metal. Immediately shut off the unit. When it cooled off removed the heat s trip and the middle of the coil was melted and fused together. Will return the second replacement when it arrives. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. We nearly lost our RV and would have if we left it running when we left. DANGER!

The product was a little late in delivery but it was very easy to install.The only thing that needed to be adjusted was the hole for fixing the lid.The electrical connection was made directly to the Dometic standby point.I recommend installing it to have a backup for gas heating.

Total waste of time and money.I turned it on twice in the morning for less then a hour each to get chill out of rv and 3rd time just blew cold air.Bought another brand and works great .Thought I would just return it but past return window now even though it showed up 10-5-24 and return window was only 11-4-24.
