Perfect for Camper Hot Water tank thread cleanup. 2004 camper so I'm not sure of the size on a newer model.

Needed to cut thread into a plastic barrel for adding valve. This was the perfect answer. Drilled a pilot hole and threaded the tap into the barrel. Then I PUT A 3/4 inch plastic nipple into the hole and added a drain valve. Doesn’t leak and worked great.

I went to install a new Anode Rod for my water heater, but the threads were all corroded, and it wanted to start crooked. I purchased this Tap, and cleaned up the threads. It worked great!

I was actually making a wall hanging and needed to attach threaded copper pipe. After drilling a 11/16 hole, the tap was used to make threads. Best if you do on a drill press to be sure that the tap is perpendicular to the hole. Worked as expected -- no problems.

Worked properly and sharpened properly. Cut the threads I needed in hard steel. Can't speak about longevity as it has only been used once.
