I had an older trigger that I used on my old camera and with this cord I can still use my older trigger with my new Z8 Nikon camera.

Yea I was using the Pixel Pro TW-283 on my Z6ii and I recently got the Z9, which has a different connector. This cable allows me to use the TW-283 with the Z9.
