Was looking for a solution to routing my classical guitar piezo pickup signal directly to the interface/mixer. This did it for me! Of course, the quality is not top-notch, but hence the price ($10 at the time of purchase).

I had a problem at a shoot recently where my sound started cutting out. My wireless receiver takes a 3.5 connection and I plugged that into a 3.5 to 1/4 adaptor and that adaptor into a 1/4 split to my XLR handle. I couldn't figure out where the failure point was and decided to just go with a single cable solution.I like that it's short. Using a 3' cable on a shoot just means a messy jumble of wires that looks unprofessional and is one more thing to get caught or make noise on set. It's been hard to find a single cable that converts 3.5 direct to XLR. Usually it's 1/4 to XLR, which is what caused my issues in the first place.

I use this to hook up my speakers to my smaller audio interface which does not offer a 6.5 plug in so this has been perfect.

If you need a stereo 1/8 to a mono XLR such as connecting a XLR microphone to a DLSR / Mirrorless camera, it works. Note that microphones that need phantom power, this will NOT work.
