When they were lit they caught fire and only about 8-10 even went up in the air. I was not happy with this product.

I have always been fascinated with these Chinese lanterns. They look so cool. I've always wanted to do them but, never had the opportunity. Until now! I'm pleased with the quality of these lanterns. They have everything you need to get these airborne except a match to light it. I can't wait to do these with my family next time we are all together. It is going to be memorable.

i like these and they are easy to light. it was so cool to see it float up in to the sky. i would definitely recommend these. just make sure you do it near the ocean or large body of water to help prevent any fires that could start

Upon opening these, we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of these paper wish lanterns. The fire-resistant paper almost feels like some type of cloth. This kit comes with everything you need, the lantern of course, the fuel cells, and even a marker to write your hopes, wishes, dreams, and/or prayers on. The lanterns are easy to assemble and the fuel lights quickly. Adults can hold onto the lantern until it's ready to soar to the heavens, and kids can have an adult light the fuel and then set the lantern on the ground and watch it slowly lift off when ready. Decent lantern. The fuel cell isn't as large as some others but bigger than some others. Works as they should.

I read other reviewer who complained about them tearing. So when I received mine I paid very close attention to opening each lantern up slowly to prevent it from tearing. The instructions were clear on how to use them.Recently my best friend passed away and thought this would be a nice thing to do with his spouse, children and great grandkids. His daughter was thrilled with the idea and said she couldn't think of a more fitting tribute. We used the marker that was included and everyone wrong a special message then launched them upwards.All the lanterns were released together at the beach where they were married. They all worked well and was a touching event.

I've purchased and flown many different sets of sky lanterns, fire kites, flying lanterns, so when I tell you all aren't created equal...believe me.This set has everything you need to get into the air and the price is fair, however I found it difficult to get the lantern unfolded and into shape to fly. I ripped holes in two of the eight. I've purchased other sets of fire kites that are easy to open up. The material on those seemed to be more robust or covered in something that wouldn't allow the tissue paper to bind with itself.Perhaps I got a set that was compressed but opening them up was tedious. Fix this issue and you would get a five-star review from me as the price is great.

These lanterns are a good size and relatively easy to use and release. Made of a good weighted paper and takeoff rather easily. They truly make for a beautiful memorial or light up the sky
