This is a good evolution of our card protectors from your soft sleeve, hard sleeve and now this. It is made up of acrylic and is held in by a little magnet. You can open it by placing pressure and releasing the magnets from its link and it has a place for your usual collectible cards with the edges flared out preventing any contact and preserving its quality. It is really great it concept but I saw some cracks where the magnet is placed. I feel like it still needs some more streamline manufacturing process but in the future, this might be the new norm.

I ordered these magnetic card holders to display some of my favorite sports cards in my office and change them out every once in a while. When these arrived, I noticed they came in 2 individual boxes setup for retail displays, so if people are selling them, then they would have a nice display. Since I am not selling them but using them for personal use, that really didn't matter to me, but if you are a retail store, then that is something to keep in mind.Upon opening some of them to put some of my sports cards in them, I noticed that they all had hairline scratches, nothing too deep, but this was a little disappointing since I wanted my display cards to look their best. I opened the rest of them, and they all had these scratches. They look like they must have been sliding down some kind of manufacturing conveyor or other device since they were individually packaged and the packages were fine.Aside from the scratches, the magnets in them held well and securely. The 2 pieces fit together well. The edges, though, were a little rough and had some exterior dimples from their molding process.I would say that if you are looking for a way to safely store your cards, then these would be a good deal since their pricing is less than a dollar each and that is pretty good. If you are looking for something to display your cards, then you need to keep in mind that they may have hairline scratches, which probably wouldn't bother some people, just something to consider.

My son uses these to highlight and protect his favorite Pokemon cards. We're not serious collectors but I noticed he doesn't care so much about the value of his cards and just loves shuffling them, looking at them, handling them, etc., which is great, but they were getting pretty beat up. These in my opinion are much better than just plastic sleeves. Super easy to use and there's that satisfying click and clack as the magnets close shut. It seems to increase the tactile experience for my son and to me that's worth it.

Our boys are in the entrepreneurial stages of their card collecting, where they are regularly trading and selling their cards online. In a world where positive feedback is make or break, the extra touch is critical. We use these, primarily, for that positive extra touch effect. At a regularly priced dollar-a-piece, these are a little too expensive to use for every order, but on wider margin rarities, these serve the purpose well. Not only do they add an additional layer of in-transit protection, but buyers seem to really appreciate the unexpected inclusion of a much more robust card protector. At a glance, they seem complicated and cumbersome, but are actually a breeze to open and secure. With just a card, there is a bit too much wiggle room for my liking, but we always soft sleeve first; and I think these were designed with the soft sleeve in mind.Overall, we like them a lot.

These card holders have very loose tolerances in the way they connect together which allows quite a bit of wiggle between the top and bottom. The magnet is okay and it does hold these closed for the most part but the interlocking tabs have over a millimeter of play. This wiggle room makes it much easier for these to come open very easily. Their clarity and other details are also not the best. Overall I would say that you should probably try a different holder if you are looking for top quality.
