Does not work at all unless it's installed where there is a hard surface floor. NOT clear that it does not run on the track! It just rolls on the floor with the track and roller as nothing but a guide .... which is also poor. Returning.

Yes this hardware takes some doing to install. Well made solid. The instructions could be better, but once installed it works great! If you have the right tools.

I wanted this item to work so badly. All the reviews and the specs online made it seem like it wasn’t that hard to do. I am building a new home and I wanted a concealed door on my pantry. I am unable to have a pocket door due to the trusses. We simply can’t use this concealed door hardware due to its complexity. The builder went through three carpenters who said it was too complicated and we needed to ship the door out to get it mitered. It’s not easy to install. The cost was astronomical. The installation is not something just anyone can do and I feel how it is advertised is misleading. Due to the timeline of when I purchased, and when the builder was ready to put it on, it appears I can’t return it. I am very upset. I recommend going to a professional who only installs these concealed type doors. I need to get a refund.

I love the concept of sliding doors, but I couldn't use pocket doors, and I'm tired of barn doors. The first time I saw floating doors, I knew I had to have them. I live in Barbados, where no one else has these, so it was a learning curve for my crew to install them and even understand the concept. They had to make a few adjustments to ensure they rolled smoothly. I'm still waiting for the handles. It took me some time to choose the right handles, and I might ask my carpenter to add some details to the doors to give them more character. The mechanism itself is amazing, and so far, everyone who has seen these space-saving doors in my house has been in awe, looking everywhere to see how they work. I'm thrilled that they save so much space, especially since I live in a small seaside village. The sea salt in the air would have corroded traditional barn door mechanisms in no time, so having our sliding mechanism concealed is a better option. Overall, I would highly recommend this, and I’ve been asked to share the link by almost everyone who has seen them.

This concealed hardware barn door kit is truly awesome. I actually didn't know this existed, but I'm so giddy over it. Personally, I don't particularly like the regular barn door hardware because to me it looks too much like this "modern farmhouse" thing everyone is into these days. I don't really like it. So, this is just SO nice! It's modern and sleek, and has a bit of that 'how in the heck did they mount that door' factor.I installed this door with my husband and we both found the instructions to be helpful. Please note, if you don't have a router to put a sort of track on the rear of the door, you will need one! It did take us a good while to get this done, but with patience you should be able to get it mounted in an hour or so if you're reasonably handy. After installation I was very pleased with the smoothness with which this door glides on the track. It functions as smoothly as it looks and doesn't disappoint. There isn't a single thing I would change... I love it. I wanted to include a photo, but as it turns out we had to uninstall the door due to some work being done in the closet that it is installed in.

This came very well packaged and in good condition. The problem for me is that you have to cut the door to install the rolling piece at the top. I didn't have the type of door that would survive such a cut. It's a good price, but didn't work for me.

Great Product, especially if you read the instructions. Easy to install. I cannot say it enough, read, understand, and plan with the instructions on which way you want to install the door. Circle, or highlight A, B, or C instructions between initial setup and the hanger setup. I made a door for my client as their opening was already 96" and needed the extra 5" of height for the hanger to be concealed properly. One thing to keep in mind when installing the hanger. The two top screw holes allow for vertical adjustment, but the bottom ones do not. As I found out with having to do a slight adjustment, use only the top two holes until you get the height dialed in and then attach the bottom two. I do think the bottom guide wheel should be a little smaller with the 22mm guide track. Mine did ride tight in the track and a little wobble would not hurt the alignment, say maybe a 1-1.5mm smaller.

This sliding barn door hardware kit is designed for doors in the 28 to 32-inch range, offering a discreet installation. Its standout features include a concealed track system and a soft-close mechanism, which ensure smooth and quiet operation. However, the installation process can be challenging and requires careful attention to alignment. This kit is a great option if you are looking for a minimalistic look and feel for your door setup.
