pretty sure it was not it's intended purpose but wanted something stable and all other options were thinner, fragile looking shelving made to go into cabinets or closets. Raised my 42" TV inside the Armoire and created 8" underneath. Wife through me out of master bedroom so now in guest room living like in a small one room apartment. Can store clothes underneath.
