Bought this for an electric bike, which it should be compatible for and it heats up quickly afraid to leave the charger plugged in without supervision

Great replacement and awesome value. I bought a used Nakto Elegance E-bike with a faulty charger and this replacement charger is perfect, more efficient, smaller, and charges faster. Just beware, plug it into the battery before you plug it into the wall outlet. I plugged it into the outlet first and got a big spark when I was plugging it into the battery. Fortunately, all was well, and I didn't do that again. This charger packs a lot of juice!

The bicycle shop wanted $70 for the standard ebike charger. I paid $20 something for this one. But the plug didn't match the battery, so I just cut it off and spiced the old one on. ( I don't recommend this. You have to research the + and - wire colors .) It seems to fully charge faster than the original charger, so check the progress the first time you use it.

The charging plug was the correct fit for my older ebike battery connection, and seems to be able to charge it with no problem. My cells are a little too old to hold a decent charge but I was hopping that the charger would be able to bring them back around a little. But all in all a fine charger.
