I tried several ravioli makers, all were poor quality. This one seemed better until you look closer. It had multiple burrs that catch and can cut finger when handling. Also several rough edged around the cutout holes (top and bottom), that will eventually result in the coating transfer to food you are making (i.e. plastic and chemicals. I had to return it.

The dumplings turn out huge due to the high sides

Perfect dumplings maker. Don't slip, heavy enough to stay still and with legs long enough to have space for a fill.

I used this to make pelmeni for the first time. My AC was not working and hence my house was 95F (35C). I needed to use more flour to keep the dough from sticking and I had absolutely no issue making the dumplings. The dumplings sealed well and released from the base easily. I could get a lot of filling into each dumpling. This was an excellent purchase. Worth the price.

Good quality, good coat of some paint on it that doesn't peel of.

I bought 2 different ones to compare and chose this one to keep because of how sturdy it was. I was able to fill it with more meat because of the height it gives. Unlike other ones that tough the countertop.

I'm not going to go into how this method of making dumplings is great - it really is, but of the multitude of seemingly similar products out there, this one is vastly superior in quality and usability. The main difference is the height of the feet and the depth of the insides of the holes, which are both greater than you can find in anything cheaper.Let me explain it a bit. Short feet, which other cheap products have, mean you can't put more than a tiny bit of stuffing before the dumplings are squished against the counter surface and bulging around the holes, which makes them basically stuck in the mold and super hard to get out without damaging them. This mold has sufficiently tall feet for a good amount of stuffing. And deeper walls inside the holes mean that the dumplings won't tear or catch when you're trying to get the out - in other products I've tried the walls were shallow with sharp edges so I'd often end up with torn dumplings. Bonus feature - unlike other molds out there, this one is not made of aluminum so it's dishwasher safe! I'm so happy with this one after having tried so many poor quality molds, can't recommend it enough - it actually looks like the one my mom used to have back when things were built with quality.
