Basically, this is a big savings over the brand-name replacement filters. They're not exactly the same but it's probably close enough.The bags are properly sized, and the red inlet aligner fits the same as miele's does. The Miele bag feels almost like cotton, but these are more like a synthetic, maybe nylon or polypropylene. They had no trouble being installed or inflating.The pre-filter seems identical, and the size was properly marked for cutting.The filter, however, gave me a bit of trouble. If you look closely at the pics, you'll see that they're marked to be somewhat bigger than what my Miele actually takes (compare filters closely). The printing is a bit fuzzy and I'm guessing it's a print issue and the lines are shifted. You'll have to trim a long edge. However, because this long edge is a folded edge, once you cut it all the layers will be free to unravel and it can be a pain properly aligning then again when installing into the filter cage. I was successful, though. Also - it looks like one side is different but there's no indication which is the front or back (if it matters).I think that for the filters they need to adhere to each other, if you're required to cut the edges off. They could use a dotted grid heat stamp, for example, the way some paper towels are made.Aside from that, yes this was a successful replacement for my Miele vacuum (s251).

I waited until I filled a bag until writing this review. The Miele brand of bags are amazing and very expensive. I've questioned myself, why buy one of the more expensive vacuums and then search out and buy a cheaper replacement bag but here I am. I used these bags on my Miele S514 vacuum; they should fit on any Miele vacuum that uses the red tabbed or FJM bags. The bag catches the dirt and passes the vacuumed air. The bag itself is the first air filter and should trap the majority of the fine particles. My vacuum then has 2 more cut-to-fit filters (included with the bags) that further filter the air. If the bag didn't capture the fine dust particles the first of the 2 external filters would be dirty. Mine was very clean indicating that the bag did it's job well. The bag opening doesn't fit as tight as the Miele bags but seems to be good enough. The bags slide into the mount easily and were easy to remove when full. Unlike the Miele bags the corners are pleated which makes them much easier and cheaper to manufacturer. As you can see in my photo this results in the bags not completely filling the chamber meaning they won't hold as much debris. At this price the savings more than makes up for the slightly less bag capacity. The bags are not as durable as the Miele bags but held up very well being overstuffed in my test run. Overall the Miele bags are perfect and these bags are what I consider more than good enough and will save you some money. Perfection is the enemy of good enough. The Miele bags set a high bar for 5 stars and these I rated one star less.

I have been using these vacuum bags since 1991. On Amazon they were much cheaper than I have been paying. I wish I had known about them sooner. Thank you amazon.

14 pack is handy - same make just like the original Meile bags - comes with the filters as well.Would order again if I run low.
