If you are into automotive, watercraft or RV detailing this is a great product. It works exceptionally well with a DA polisher/random orbital polisher using a cutting pad. The product working time is excellent and has minimal dust. It has the ability to remove minor scratches, water spots, and oxidation.

Such a neat polishing product to restore a shiny luster to your trailer or camper's exterior by improving the appearance of tiny scuffs and scratches.I could see an obvious improvement, in just a few minutes.Simple & easy to follow directions.A light touch on a clean surface, with a very fine buffer is recommended by the manufacturer. I found that too much pressure just removes the product. It works well as described & restores some value with an improved finish and shine.

I have a white fiberglass truck topper that is oxidized and has a lot of stains. The white gel coat on this topper has been a challenge for me to clean up since any imperfection stands out with color. I read the description of this cutting compound from 3D and was hopeful that it would be the solution I needed. After using it on the worst areas of my topper, I am truly impressed. This cutting compound completely removed all the oxidation and light scratches; it made my gel coat shine. What impressed me the most is how well it worked to remove all the rust stains; a glop of this cutting compound, a good cotton towel, and some elbow grease completely removed the rust and rejuvenated my gel coat. 3D hit a home run with this cutting compound; it worked great and was very easy to use. I will be ordering more when this bottle runs out.

This stuff is pricey - let's get that out of the way. I was a little hesitant initially, but I wanted something that would work on my 1986 RV's single stage paint, which has quite a bit of oxidation due to being out in the sun. To my surprise, this stuff worked quickly - I didn't have to use it over and over again to see the results I needed. Together with a stiff foam or MF pad on my random orbital buffer, this made quick work of the oxidation. Removing light scratches was easy as well.

Took way to long to get. Didn't use. Bought McGuire product instead. That worked great.

Perfect for working on boats and recreational vehicles. I always get requests to detail these but never wanted to use my normal car products on gelcoats ect.Compound is easy to work with, removes light layer of oxidization and leaves surface clean and primed for sealing and waxes

I’ve used this ‘3D Marine & RV Gel-Coat Cutting Compound’ for a while now, and I swear by it. I use it at the beginning of every season to clean the fiberglass on our motorhome. And I also use this product in the fall to clean the hull of our boat. And it works very well on both.I like this ‘3D Marine & RV Gel-Coat Cutting Compound’ mainly for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the grit in this product is lot finer that in most other rubbing compounds. It works great for fine marks or scratches. But any scratch that’s really deep or any super dark marks or staining will take a bit more work to get them off. This product will do it, but it will take a bit more elbow grease. And secondly, I like how little dust you get when rubbing this ‘3D Marine & RV Gel-Coat Cutting Compound’ off. My hands tend to get cracked and dry when I use other rubbing compounds, because they leave so much dust. I don’t have that problem with this product. This ‘3D Marine & RV Gel-Coat Cutting Compound’ goes on very easily..,spreads quickly…and comes off very easily as well. It may be more expensive than a lot of the other rubbing compounds out there, but I think it’s worth the investment given the great job it does…the ease of application and removal…and low amount of dust it makes. I can recommend it.

When I had the opportunity to get the new 3D "Marine & RV" polishes through the Vine program I jumped on it. I am submitting essentially the same review for all three of the products I got: the cutting compound, the finishing polish, and an all-in-1 polish that is somewhere in-between.I have heard good things about the 3D auto polishes and other chemicals, but I have not had the opportunity to try them, myself. Last summer I bought a 2016 John Deere Tractor and various accessories. Although these polishes are positioned as designed for gel coat (the shiny layer molded as the top layer of fiberglass) I figured that they would be equally good for all the plastic on the John Deere, which includes the hood, fenders, the pull behind cart, etc.So - these arrived recently and today I tried them out. The plastic on the Deere varies from a little scratched and oxidized, to the cart which I think must have lived out in the sun full time. I started there, and started with the most aggressive of these, the compound. I'm using a 6" Bauer (HF) DA polisher, I am concerned that I don't have the skill to avoid damaging things with a 7" high-speed polisher. Anyway, I just taped off one section of the cart, about 1 foot square, and hit it with the cutting compound on one of their blue, aggressive foam pads. I followed the directions and the compound spread well. After a minute or so I wiped it off with a microfiber cloth, and the and the improvement was really good. I put one some more and went over the area again. After wiping it off I switched to the finishing polish and a black pad. With just a little effort that 1 square foot looked great.Next I decided I'd do half of the top section of the hood, which is in good shape - I polished it by hand a bit last summer. For this I thought I'd try the all-in-one version and I used my last remaining foam pad, a yellow pad. It didn't take much and that one small area looked great. I didn't try the finishing polish on it afterwards, but I think it would have polished it even more.In summary, it's pretty much as I expected - there are three different grits of polish here from a relatively fast cutting compound to a fine polishing compound. How you use them - pressure, amount of polish, pad, technique, etc. and how they work are very interrelated, though. I tried to use very little pressure and let the machine and polish do the work. I am happy with the results.I'll try to summarize my thoughts. I was using these on a garden tractor, not my prized yacht or mega-RV. For my use the All-in-1 product would certainly have been good enough to make/keep the thing looking great. I don't need all 3 "flavors" and I'd guess that really the choice is the cutting/finishing polishes or the one for everything. I am not a pro, but I've been polishing cars and boats and airplanes off and on over the decades and these seem like really good products. They're easy to use, they don't spray all over and make a mess, and they wipe off easily and cleanly. Even more important is that they work.I'll try to add some photos once I get a little more done.
