This kite is very difficult to balance. Even with considerable wind.

Our kids are still at the age where flying a kite is fun for them. We got this one to have something a little larger and more fun/colorful than the standard cheap kites we've used over the years. The build quality is quite good, using fiberglass poles that are very similar to tent poles. It's easy to assemble and flies well. The kids are having fun flying it and I really like the metal clip at the end of the line...it eliminates the desire one of my kids has to untie and re-tie the knot. There is plenty of line for our flying needs and I'm glad for the good value this kit offers!

Easy to assemble, easy to set into flight, very strong in high winds! We let it all the way out and the only suggestion id make is for stronger string and some whistles on the wings for a little more of a show!!! Leds? This thing is good but could be GREAT!

This was a birthday gift for my 11 year old grandson. He was happy to receive it, but I haven’t had any feedback from him.

We finally had a breezy day with no rain, so it was the perfect time to test out this 3D Red Pterosaur Kite for Boys & Adults by SGftre. The assembly is easy and it took us less than 5 minutesto get the fiberglass parts into it. Not having seen a kite close up in many years, I was shocked at how large this thing is, which really drew some attention at the park. As big as it is though, the kite weighs nothing and was very easy for our ten year old grandchild to operate.I was a bit concerned because it was not that windy on this particular day, but this kite went up so easily we all cheered. It had a couple crashes, but seems to be built sturdily enough to withstand that, and the fabric is tear resistant as well. The only thing I would change would be to make the cord more manageable somehow, as the spindle did not seem to work as smoothly as it should. Other than that we had a blast, and it totally outshown the other two kites that were around that day. When I ordered this kite, it was selling for $39.99, which I think is too pricey for it, but today I see that it is on sale for $29.99 and that seems a fair price. What fun that I can now say to my husband "go fly a kite", and he very well might!

Arrived in a much smaller package than I expected. There's a little bit of assembly to get it flight ready, but it's not too bad. If the storage bag were twice as long then you wouldn't have to take so many of the spars and supports out. The main cross spars go in, then there's one from the spine to the tail. Then there are two that go in the back of the wings to help maintain rigidity in lighter wind. The tail streamers are detachable, but the ones on the ends of the wings are not.Connecting the line to the bridle is easy enough with the swivel clip, but the swivel itself is pretty terrible and doesn't spin under load so you still end up with twisted line. I have some higher quality swivels I'll replace that with.Went right up in the sky, hand-launched in about 10mph wind. It did a fair amount of swaying back and forth until it got up in the smoother wind. It's a pretty gentle pull and would be a good kite even for littles to fly.My biggest gripe is that storage bag, as it's a pain to dismantle the whole thing and get all the streamers stuffed back into the bag without making a mess and getting stuff tangled or damaged. If it were $10 cheaper I'd say it was a good value.

Visually Stunning: 5/5 StarsThe first thing that grabs your attention is the vibrant red color and the fantastic 3D pterosaur design. It's not just a flat kite; the three-dimensional shape really comes to life as it catches the wind. The wings have a great span, and the attached tail adds to the visual spectacle, making it look like a prehistoric creature soaring through the air. It definitely turns heads and gets lots of "oohs" and "aahs" from onlookers.Easy to Fly: 5/5 StarsDespite its impressive size and 3D design, this kite is remarkably easy to get airborne. Even with a relatively light breeze, it lifts off smoothly with minimal effort. The single line string is simple to manage, making it perfect for both kids and adults who are new to kite flying. My 8-year-old had no trouble getting it up and keeping it flying, and I enjoyed taking a turn as well.Great for Outdoor Fun: 5/5 StarsThis kite is perfect for a variety of outdoor settings, from the beach to parks and open fields. It provides hours of active fun for the whole family. Chasing after it in the wind, watching it dance in the sky, and learning to control its movements is a great way to get some exercise and fresh air. It definitely added an extra layer of excitement to our beach trip.Quality and Durability (Initial Impressions): 4/5 StarsThe kite seems well-made for the price. The fabric is lightweight yet feels reasonably durable, and the frame appears sturdy enough to withstand moderate winds. The stitching seems secure. While we haven't put it through extreme conditions yet, it held up well during our beach outing. The single line string is adequate for general flying.Easy to Assemble and Pack: 4.5/5 StarsAssembly is minimal – essentially just attaching the string. Packing it up is also straightforward. It folds down relatively compactly, making it easy to transport and store. It doesn't come with a fancy carrying case, but it's manageable enough to tuck into a beach bag or backpack.
