I had a flaky switch on my 2008 Grizzly 700 that would occasionally keep the ATV from accelerating at all. Because of the damaged contacts, it was keeping the ATV in a very low RPM limit mode. I couldn’t really use it. Especially when plowing snow.I would say get the OE crush washer as it does allow for a correct distance and it won’t (potentially) stuff the switch body into the internal lever. I tried a thicker aftermarket washer and it didn’t allow for correct contact. I occasionally had a no-contact issue with that washer. Once I figured out to use the OE washer, it worked flawlessly.I’m making an assumption that the contacts are brass just like the body, but I can only speculate. It hasn’t leaked oil yet either. Hopefully it’ll keep sealed throughout its lifespan.
