** UPDATE ** cables fell out on second use. Were not soldered or mechanically clamped to the leads - they were glued down! See the photos I added. This is dangerous - I do not recommend this product!Ok, this is such a great concept. So much more powerful than those tiny battery jump boxes, and I can use my existing dewalt batteries. Well made. Great connectors to switch between 12 car, DeWalt and Milwaukee. The cable size and quality is good for this use. The connectors are solid and will last. Some have said these are not to jump start cars, that’s exactly what this is intended to do. See the photo of the instructions I included. Some have complained about the cable length - it’s perfect for using a small battery. You would only need longer if going from car to car, but that’s not the intended use of this product.

This seems like a really great idea but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me trying to jump start a friend’s 2011 E550 with a dead battery (I used a newish original DCB240 4Ah battery). This is basically a straight pass-through adapter with no buck converter to reduce voltage and while the overall quality feels decent, the black alligator clamp arrived slightly detached at an angle and caused the plastic holder to be pried open wider than designed. I pushed it back into place but the gap looks like it’ll cause it to come loose again easily (check pic of the black and red clamps side-by-side and notice the gap on the left side of the black one). Furthermore, the insulation on that cable is a little too near the clamps thus not allowing them to stretch wider than typical battery posts width hence you wouldn’t be able to use this on German cars that typically have a negative/ground post a bit further away from the positive post (I suppose you could cut the insulation but I’d rather not do that right now).I’m currently mostly in the Dewalt camp but it’s good to have the Milwaukee adapter in case I decide to switch systems in the future. Alas the low score was mainly due to the issues mentioned. Will try again with a different car and Dewalt battery when the opportunity arises and report back if anything changes.

I really like the flexibility of these jumper cables, having the ability to use either Milwaukee or DeWalt batteries is handy to have. The cables are 8 AWG, so pretty thick copper cables, and the clamps seem to be made pretty well, though I don't run a garage, just when someone has a dead battery for whatever reason, so I don't think they will be taking a lot of abuse.

Nice battery jumper set. I especially like that I can use not only my M 18 batteries from my Milwaukee impacts, but I can also use my daiquiri to jump batteries with. Having the Dewalt end is a nice option as well.

This adapter is a clever little multitasker that’s perfect for folks running Milwaukee or DeWalt batteries. I was able to use it with my existing tools and jump a battery setup with no drama. The clamps feel sturdy, and the modularity is surprisingly convenient—especially if you keep a few different batteries around for other gear. It’s not industrial-grade, but for weekend warriors and average garage use, it does its job without complaint. Bonus points for the compact size and easy switching.

If you have Milwaukee fuel batteries size 8.0 up to 12.0 this is an excellent addition to your kit. The mount slides onto the battery just fine and I was able to start my Cub Cadet riding lawn mower with a 24 horsepower motor my Lexus GX470 and my Ford V10 truck on my 12 volt battery. The wire size is more than adequate for a jump starter and you will not be disappointed with this particular accessory. After you hook up the cables to your battery it is wise to wait about a minute for the battery to take on some charge before attempting to start your car immediately it will work better this way. This jumper cable accessory is very useful because unlike some jumper boxes that require a little bit of voltage and the target battery two work these will jump a completely dead car battery.

The cables are pretty heavy duty compared to the little battery powering them. They have a feeling of quality just because they're not too thin. The clamps are small but are appropriate for the current load they are given. The adapter end that hooks up to my DeWalt battery needs a firm push or smack to seat it properly but removing it is much more difficult. It is jammed on there with no room left. While this may be better than being loose, it makes a hard time to disconnect it from the battery. Your first instinct is to pull on the cables which I would think will weaken them and probably cause them to pull out of the housing before too long. The shell of the housing is smooth and doesn't provide any real grip so this is a flaw that should be addressed. The DeWalt 20V lithium battery it fits probably puts out more juice than equivalent sized jumper packs, but I question if there will ever be an issue throwing 8 more volts into something designed for 12V. I was surprised that it did work and jumped my lawn mower. I also used it for powering a 12v car jack and it worked flawlessly. The ability to use it from a 12V cigarette lighter socket (do they call them that anymore? I am referring to 12V power source with bullet plug connector in the car) is kind of cool however its usefulness is uncertain because it will never reach to another vehicle. I can, however, tap that power from the plug and use the clamps to deliver 12V to whatever I can reach. I just don't know what that will ever be but having the option may come in handy one day.The Milwaukee connector cannot be tested by me for lack of a Milwaukee battery, but I will keep it all together because maybe that too will be useful one day.Being able to use the DeWalt batteries I already own does make this useful for anything I am able to do with it. And my experience with things like this has been that a really dead battery is too hard to start with these small units. They do work surprisingly well for a battery that is a little weak or one that was just run down.
