I used to use this compound for years but then was unable to find it in stores. Finally found it here. You cannot beat this stuff for a watertight joint. It lasts for years and years. I don't know how people who do outdoor wiring projects can get along without it. Moisture gets into everything until this.

Works good to seal electrical connections, wish it was a bit thicker. Liquid is a bit thin and I always do two coats. Actually electrical connextions that are taped with electrical tape prior.

I used this product to coat spliced wires on all kinds of items from stove gas wires, electrical cords to wiring inside and underside of my vehicles. It goes along way and forms a protective shield on product when fully dried (30 min max) that repels water,humidity,sand.dirt 1000x better than any electrical tapes I've seen. Bad side is it can be really messy if you;try to rush.
