Our cat knocked the glass orb off of its lighted base. Fortunately the orb wasn't damaged. I applied several small pieces of this mounting tape to the base of the orb. I let it cure for 24 hours as recommended. Then I peeled the protective cover off of the tape and set the orb on the base. The two are now attached securely. I also used the tape to attach the top of a rather heavy frame to the wall.

I purchased this tape to replace this same type of tape that came installed on pieces of lightweight metal that attach to the underside of the kitchen cabinet, allowing the metal pieces to then attach to the magnetized surface of an undercounter light. I had not placed the metal pieces with the tape on the correct area under my cabinet somehow, and the foam-backed tape tore up when I tried to remove it to reposition it. After cleaning off the tape remnants from the cabinet surface and the little metal squares, I applied 2 pieces of this tape to the metal pieces -- and this time, I managed to place them in the correct place. It will probably be there forever, or until I decide to remove the light. With this roll, there's opportunity for making lots of mistakes and correcting them. Yep, this is some serious, heavy duty double-sided tape.

So strong that I don't think I can ever take the stuff put on the wall off... I say this unironically. I believe I should only use to put on the wall the things that I don't intend to take off, ever. Anyway, excellent product.

It is double sided and sticky and it's tape - but I don't think it holds as much as heavy duty would. We used this to add the COBB lights (the faux neon type of LED lights) and it didn't want to hold up the weight of the strip light. Granted these are the heavier type of lights but this is the exact same width as the lights and I would think it should hold up that much at bare minimum. So maybe not heavy duty but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and saying yeah this is still good tape.
