Used these traction tape to secure the dog ramp better. The non-abrasive texture works great for my dogs' feet.

The safety strip was applied to the sill of a doorway - it helps protect the wood sill (painted) as well as provding an anti-slip surface that is comfortable on a stockinged foot.

Generally good. As expected of 3M product. The sticker backing can be tricky to remove properly. Remnants might remain.

I used this tape to give some grip to my dogs carpeted ramp which definitely is not it’s intended use but it worked perfectly! It’s got a strong adhesive on the back which stuck to the sides of the ramp as well as the carpet. It has a nice rubbery feel which gives plenty of grip without being rough like sandpaper. Is comfortable to bare feet and dogs paws 🐾

I purchased to provide more traction for an above ground pool intake side clamp on style fitler/screen. The unit kept popping off. A 22' diameter pool with about 12,000 gallons of water. The surface of the pool frame is a smooth enamel finish and the clamp is plastic. The frame has an oval shape (Bestway / Coleman). I cleaned the surface of the exposed pool frame and then applied two side by side sections of this traction tape so that the ends were facing away from the pool water, tucked under the back and bottom edge. The clamp now stays on without issue, including with adults making waves from cannon ball jumps into the pool.Pool uses a chlorine generator (salt water system), and so far the traction tape has been problem free in that environment for about a month now.

I bought these treads to reduce the "slipperiness" of my composite decking steps on the front and back of my house. I followed the package instructions to install. Bad move! After a few weeks the 3M treads peeled up at the corners, so I removed them and began looking for an alternative.I couldn't find anything better, so I ordered another pack of the 3M treads and installed as below:1. Cut the 3 M treads to appropriate length. 'Round off" the four corners of each tread, using a coin.2. Using a pencil, outline on the steps where each tread will go.3. Using the outlines of the tread as a guide, brush contact cement on the steps where the 3M treads will be placed, and allow the cement to "cure." (Contact cement in a brush applicator bottle is available through Amazon or any hardware store.)4. Place the 3M treads on the steps and press down. I put 2 x4s on top to add some weight and pressure.5. Stay off the treads for a few hoursThis seems to have helped.

This is a great product, seriously. Measure twice and cut once then place on the steps. It does not damage the wood and stays on.Background: I just bought a house and had the carpet ripped out. I asked for a satin finish for the oak wood flooring. NOTE! Satin finish is super slippery so my kids slipped down the stairs. I did not want to put a carpet on the stair case nor carpet squares on the steps which requires strong adhesive. This quick, easy, and very inexpensive solution did the trick and saved my family from any tragedies. This color is not very noticeable with wood steps. Remember to cut rounded corners so it will look professional and remember to take your time and measure measure measure.

I have seen a number of reviews here saying this product fails miserably outdoors. I cannot comment on that, I haven't tried them outdoors. I needed something to make a sharply inclined physical therapy exercise ramp safe, to prevent sliding off. I tried a number of anti-skid strips and they all failed under stress, slipping away from the position they were placed in and migrating down the ramp, or peeling off completely. I've had these on the ramp for months, so they have had a lot of use, and so far they are exactly where I originally put them with no sign of peeling off. The adhesive appears to be quite good and the grainy surface provides an excellent foothold for sneakers to grab to. If they will hold someone on a 25 degree ramp without slippage of either tape or foot, I have to assume they would do great on stair steps or floors, but all my experience with them has been in a dry environment.Pros - Stay tightly in place and provide very secure footing, even under the considerable stress of a sharp incline.Cons - Others have said they loosen and peel off in wet environments, I have not tested this.

I purchased the tread to apply to my girls' bunk bed stairs, so they wouldn't slip and fall and it works wonders I don't feel uneasy about them going up and down stairs in the middle of the night for those bathroom trips (I purchased the 2" cut it in half, used both strips on one step there is a pic posted in gallery), not ro rough were it snags socks or bothers bottom of feet. I also use the tread for the bottom of slippery shoes its easy to apply and its also a custom fit oppose to going to shoe store and purchasing non slip soles that start peeling during the first wear and besides 3M has been around for awhile very reliable product!
