Just buy this instead of the cheaper knockoffs. Likely will never buy another. Just a solid, indispensable, basic tool

Tenía mis dudas sobre la manera de fijar la lija, pero está muy bien resuelto. Como todo lo de 3M.Muy fácil de ponerla y de trabajar con ella. Se adapta muy bien a la palma de la mano.Recomendable.

The 3M sanding block is what you'd assume. For me, it's all about the weight. The rubber block has a great weight to it so that you don't really have to work as hard when removing body paint in my case. With the proper sandpaper and block your job should be relatively easy as long as you know what you're doing. If you're thinking right now, "Is this worth the money"? I'd say, "yes" simply because of the quality and fact that I'm sure you'll see yourself using this on more than one or two projects :-)

I have two of these sanding blocks from when I first got into woodworking some fifty years ago and they're starting to crack from age and use. In addition to using these with sandpaper held between the flaps I use them with PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) sandpaper to avoid the wasted paper under the flap. I also use them with drywall sanding screens with the screen extending out the sides to avoid sanding lines. They have a nice feel in the hand and I keep two with 120/220 grit paper handy. Unfortunately, the quality of the new blocks is not the same as my older ones. The flap doesn't come down on the paper as tightly and the pins are loose and tend not to secure the paper. So, while the new one will work it is not as good as my old ones. I didn't notice any weird smell that others have mentioned.

Best hand sanding block ever. This one, as opposed to the black one, opens up to accommodate the precut 3M sandpaper strips perfectly. I had a black one for 20 years that required surgery on every piece of sandpaper for a fit. It was horrible. This is so much better!

This is a high quality sanding block that grips sandpaper firmly and prevents it from slipping. The shape is comfortable to use. I would recommend this product.

I have used this block for a number of years. It fits a 1/4 sheet of sandpaper and is easy to hold. I recommend it to anyone.

I hand sanded a couple of shelves, then tried my orbital sander on a couple, but the sanding block seemed to be the best tool for my job. It was comfortable to hold, easy to control, and covered an area larger than my hand could. I will NEVER try to use a piece of sand paper just holding it in my hand again. This must be a classic tool because a carpenter I know who has long since retired used one of these. I borrowed his and loved it so much that I had to have one of my own.

It is nothing fancy, but it does the job it is meant to with no issues. I think it has just the right weight for light sanding in between layers of staining or sealing. it is comfortable to use and the sandpaper stayed in place.
