Scotch Box Sealing Tape Dispenser H129 is a portable, lightweight, carton sealing dispenser engineered for one-hand tape application. This dispenser is built for tape widths of up to 2 inches / 48 mm and is easy to use, offering one-hand method to apply, cut and buff tape closures. We designed this tape dispenser with a built-in brake for applying pressure sensitive tape during box sealing.

Scotch® Box Sealing Tape Dispenser H129 is designed for applying C clips to regular slotted containers. It allows an operator to apply, cut, and buff with a quick and easy one-hand motion. It dispenses tape up to 2 inch/48 mm in width on a 3 in/76.2 mm core. The hand-held dispenser is constructed of high-impact gray plastic. In addition to sealing, it can be used for combining, reinforcing, and bundling operations.

Where I work at we still have some of those. They are nice once you get get use to it. However it works no better then the ones with the handles. The tape still folds in half at times. (I think that is more of a tape problem.) Do to the cost some companies won't pay that price. The company now gets the handle ones. Less expensive. Sorry to have say that. But it's true.

This unit was advertised as a being made of metal and its not . It's made of plastic. I bought these as the other version from 3M with hand brake and rated as a medium duty dispenser (also made of plastic) broke in half. This unit is heavier and seems better reinforced for handling filament tape which is what we use it for everyday as we ship a lot of cartons. We'll see if this holds up better than the other. The drop down head design does offer better ergonomics for cutting the tape. The single biggest complaint I have is the outrageous prices some places charge for these units. This was the best priced place I found but even at these prices I feel the unit is way overpriced being made of plastic. If it holds up to heavy duty use as it is rated then It will be worth it but that still remains to be seen.
