We love this bread box! We had a problem initially because the top warped and split. This was due to us living in a high-elevetion area where the climate is very dry. The seller responded quickly to my statements in my initial review and made everything right. That’s worth five stars alone. Hey, sometimes things don’t go right, and you can’t expect perfection. When a company stands by their product this way, it makes a real difference. That’s good business! So grab yourself one of these awesome bread boxes. They keep our breads and pastries really well, and will surely do the same for yours. But it is bamboo, so I recommend applying some good cutting board oil to it to protect it from getting too dry or too wet.

This is one of those items that looks as good or better than the listing photos. I think it's just beautiful and the friends who have seen it so far completely agree. We're doing some remodeling in our kitchen right now and when I saw this classy looking Bread Box I knew it would be a perfect addition and really jazz it up but in a quaint old world kind of way. The kitchen has a ways to go so I couldn't show what it will look like there but I still snapped a shot of it right after I assembled it, and as you can see it looks exactly as it does in the listing. I love products made from bamboo wood. It's strong and durable yet light. The surfaces are very easy to clean almost like plastic, but it certainly looks much nicer than any plastic. The shelves are removable and are grooved on the upward side so the bread items don't slide around as much. The bamboo surface of the shelves is very sanitary but we'll still line it with something to keep it pristine. There's a magnetic hasp on the door that keeps it shut but easy to pull open. You could actually use this as a display box for many different things. Maybe you're thinking "I'd love to have it but I'm not good at assembling things". I guarantee you don't need to be a carpenter to assemble this box they made it so easy and simple. If you can turn a screwdriver then you can assemble this box, that's the only thing you need to do. All the screw holes are pre-drilled and everything matches up and aligns perfectly. You place a side on the baseboard, push a screw through the hole underneath and tighten it. Do that with each side and then pop in the dowel pins that are the hinges for the door and mount the door. Place the top on it and drop the screws in the holes and tighten them, put the handle in place and tighten the two screws and that's it! You've got a beautiful bread box! They even include the screwdriver, the only tool required. The clear acrylic windows are already mounted and the quality is excellent, super clear and no distortion at all. It would be a great gift for any occasion especially if you assembled it first. It will be a kind of family heirloom for us being passed to our children then grandchildren and so on.

You sure will get splinters since there are unfinished edges as pictured. The hand is also only attached by staples. It will not hold up since you will be opening and closing the bread box with its handle. The handle was off unpon arrival. It's a beautiful design, just needs lots of work and better handle mechanism

Customer service has reached out to me and resolved all problems I had with this order. They assured me that they will be taking extra steps to make sure there is no raw edges in the future and offered a refund and a coupon for the next box I buy from them. Updating my review to 5 stars because they were so helpful and fast.I got 2 splinters trying to put this box together the top of the box and some of the other edges are raw and need a good sand at the very least.

This is the nicest bread box, handy for clear viewing of breads, cakes, etc. Construction took almost an hour because top of Part A had only one drill hole instead of 2, just use a drill bit, drill hole, screw the screw. One has the option to remove handle if height of overhead cabinets are too low, top to bottom measures 16-1/2 ", handle adds 3". Item is well packaged, easy to read installation manual.
