I have a 14 foot aluminum boat that I purchased a Knox 4 bow bimini top with solid canvas side covers. I use it intermittently in the heat other wise it's hung in my garage. I found the solid side covers very covering and a nessessity because depending on the sun angle the bimini may not shield the driver but rather a different part of the boat or water. Side covers create shade well. But they also block vision. I purchased mesh for just that reason. I'd like to report the mesh does indeed breakup the sun well for stippled shade but is also made of some very durable mesh fabric that is good to use under power. Visibility is good. One suggestion .. when assembling your bimini aluminum bows, use locktite on the nuts because they do come loose from vibration. The Knox product is very well put together and a bargain as when compared to a cover shop.

They would be great if the zipper fit our umbrella top. The zipper is different just enough so that it won’t attach. Very sad because otherwise it looked great.
