All the buttons line up with the original chip and functions just fine. You may have to destroy your OEM fob to get it apart, just do it in a controlled manner so you don't break the chip in the process.I transferred both the old key and opening button to the new fob. The new button didn't fit the old key very well (and I didn't want to resort to a drill). The two halves of the new fob are held together with a screw, which makes future exchange of the innards pretty easy. Will it last? Maybe, maybe not. At this price an affordable replacement is a few keystrokes away.

I was not sent the correct casing. (should have known an emblem is missing out the back)It does not fit properly. I cannot use the buttons at all. The only reason I kept it is because it allows the key and mother board to connect for me to drive the car. Have to use spare in old casing to unlock and lock super annoying!

Looks as good as original minus the emblem. Not programmable because it didn’t come with a chip. Great quality material, affordable, and lock functionality is perfect. Above all, I was able to just bring my original key from the original fob and put it in. I didn’t have to use the old spring and button compared to another product I purchased.

This fob is a good replacement item. Our factory fob broke where the key secured into the metal housing.I considered a couple other fobs that can be programmed to the car but most had poor reviews. After watching several YouTube videos I decided that this particular fob housing would be the best alternative.Getting the board out of the factory fob was not very easy. I had to use an Exato saw to cut enough of the fob seams away to pry it open.Once removed the circuit board fit well. The key did not line up at all with the supplied key blank.I had to file the original key down to get the pin groove to line up with the pin hole in the key housing.Once fitted the key fob works. The buttons are not as responsive as the original key fob but they will work as needed. If you are not willing to take the time to custom fit the key to the key housing, having it keyed by a locksmith might make more sense.Overall I am pretty happy with this and am relieved to have a spare key that has the factory circuit board.

I gave it 3 stars because the replacement case was very good quality. But getting the original case apart was a nightmare chevy glued it shut it was not easy to get apart then when I finally got to the end and removed the circuit board it cracked now i have no key at all. Just buy a new one. Car won’t start without the fob so I’m stuck without a car. This is not a simple open and change the parts around like i thought
