I was, actually, randomly, gifted a set of these, and decided to put the set to use on a few more recent projects. As someone that has already worked with the entire array in the Prismacolor colored pencil collection, it was a bit of a challenge going back to only having 12 colors. It was a lot of fun though. I had taken a trip down memory lane when I had to "create colors" from the limited selection. I recall not having much to work with, growing up, as far as decent art supplies go, and this took me back to that. Going through this experience has forced me to see how far I have come as an artist. Even though I, honestly, haven't really drawn much over the previous decade, my eye for detail has continued to evolve. I can draw things, now, that I couldn't do so well at back then.I have actually impressed MYSELF with this cheap, 12-color set, and that's what I was going for when I approached the challenge. It was like those "drugstore makeup challenge" videos... or when you give a cheap musical instrument to a virtuoso. It's amazing what can be done with less costly supplies in the right creative hands.If you can't make the most of these, it's YOUR fault. LolEmha
