Installed on a 1999 model Honda TRX450ES Foreman. The metal sleeves are wider than OEM. I tapped them out with a punch and ground them down size. Bending the brackets outward wasn't enough in my case. They are a little bit longer than stock, so the ATV rides higher now. The ride is much better than the OEM oil shocks, but again, they aren’t a perfect OEM fit.

Hard to find replacement shocks for my TRX450 Honda Foreman ATV. These seemed to receive a good review.Long shipping time took over a week just to ship FYI. 1 1/2 week to receive the goods.Included spanner wrench to adjust preload is way too short, you will need a longer handle. The Bad: Rear shock lower eye lets I had to cut off a 1/8 of an inch from one side of the lower shock bushing and rubber to insert into the shock mount.Front shocks? (See picture) I needed a pry bar to open up the upper and lower shock brackets, again the shock itself was too wide by about 1/8 if an inch making it impossible to install without opening the mounts.I find it strange the manufacture hasn't picked up on this. Now the positive. Shocks are way better than the OEM shocks the ride and control is fantastic!

Tried to install these shocks and found out that the rear shocks need to have the metal sleeve shortened. The front shocks will need to have parts of the rubber bushing cut, to have them fit. I reached out to the seller and they said that they have sold thousands of them and instructed their customers to make these modifications. If your willing to spend the money on the shocks only to modify them then do it. I think they are the same shocks that are on a Yamaha Kodiak. I have not had to trail ride on them yet so a quality review isn't available.

The new rubber bushings are a bit thick, especially on the rear shocks. Expect to be doing some minor bending of mount brackets on quad. It’ll pull back when you get the bolt thru and torqued down. I had to do a bit of filing on the rear bushings to get them to go into the mount brackets.

I installed these on a 2003 Honda Foreman 450 and they work well. I did have to spread the brackets out on the frame and swing arm to revive the rubber grommets of the shocks. A little pounding with a rubber mallet helped to get them in the brackets helped as well.Edit. I’ve had them on for over a year and these things work great! The finish looks brand new even after repeated mud and water rides. The spanner wrench that comes with it bends easily, thus making it impossible to adjust the rear set. I’m actually trying to find a better tool right now.

They look well made and they are adjustable which is a bonus. However, they do not fit the foreman 450 like the factory shocks do. The eyes are too wide to fit in the factory brackets so I had to use a pry bar and bend my mounts open so they would accommodate the new shocks. Haven’t driven on them yet but they look like they’ll work fine. Just wish I wouldn’t have had to bend my mounts to make them work.
