About this item

  • Chamfering end mill are mainly used for cutting corners on the edges of building machinery parts. It not only makes the edges smoother and avoids hand injuries caused by sharp burrs, but also enhances the beauty and durability of the parts. Sharp burrs are often produced during machining, so it is necessary to use a chamfering end mill to remove them.
  • SPECIFICATION: 90 degree chamfer end, 1/4" diameter, 1/4" shank diameter, 2" overall length. Each milling cutter packed in a solid plastic tube individually.
  • 4 FLUTE V-BIT: 4 Flutes Designed Chamfer V Bits to make Cutting More Efficiently And Clean Surface. Suitable for high-speed cutting and harder materials.
  • APPLICABLE MATERIALS: AYCHOLOZ Solid Carbide V Bit With TiAlSiN Coated tip, suitable for Metals Under HRC 55.TiAlSiN coatings own good oxidation resistance and mechanical properties at high temperature, which are of great importance to the surface protection of high speed machining or hot forming tooling parts.
  • WIDE APPLICATION: Perfect for CNC routing, including hobbyists and professionals, for tasks such as sign making, lettering and Chamfering End.

Great very sharp!! But the length causes deflection. And I expected some.

This review is for AYCHOLIZ 60 Degree Chamfer End Mill 1/4" Diameter Carbide Chamfering Mill 4 Flute CNC V Bit for Alloy Steel, Hardened SteelThis is a 1/4" shank, 4 flute solid carbide mill with a 60 degree V tip. It has a TiAlSiN coating, which means it should not be used on Aluminum. The cutting edge on the tool were examined before any use and they were all free of significant defects, the coating was evenly applied and the point accurately ground, with less than 0.002 devaition from true center.I made a series of sample chamfering cuts in mild steel and stainless steel. The cuts has a good surface finish. I only used conventional milling. The mild steel cuts were done at 22 ipm, 2600 rpm on a Taig mill with about 0.20 removed on the horizontal axis. Overall, the bit peformed well.I ran into trouble trying to groove mild steel. I used a 0.007 depth of cut for the fist pass and 10 ipm at 2600 rpm. This worked fine. However, when I tried a 0.015 depth of cut over the first groove, the cutter tip broke. So, I pushed it too hard. I have used other V-groove bits, mostly 45 degree versions in a similar way and did not break them. Still, I think this failure was my fault and I don't blame the tool's quality. I think I should have been running much higher rpms and slowed the feed down. The tool is still good for chamfering, so not a total loss.Overall, I think this is a good tool for the price. If you intend to groove metals, especially harder stock, you may want to go really slow, increase your rpm and control the depth of cut.

I use this 60-degree V-bit from Aycholiz on my CNC to cut wood and hockey pucks. It has a 1/4" shank, four flutes and an overall length of 2".It is sharp and cuts cleanly in both materials. The four flutes leave a nice finish. The length is longer than my other v-bits by about 1/2".Overall, I'm very pleased with this bit.

I have done a couple of projects using this tool and both look great.
