I needed black for my serger and wanted Serger Maxi Lock. JoAnn's only had it online. The quilting stores were pricier so I took a chance. The thread has the same numbers and everything else matches as the Maxi Lock I have at home which I had purchased at JoAnns. Seems to sew the same and we will see.

I had bought some thread before, but the thread was really brittle and broke often. This product seems to be stronger, and I have had no issues with it plan to buy again.

I love this brand of thread for my serger, it’s a poly-cotton blend, it’s strong and never breaks!

I'm new to sewing, but have found Maxi Lock to be a fine product. I have had no issues running this thread through my Janome 8002d serger! I also use this thread on a stand in my regular sewing machine. Much more economical to buy thread by the cone!

I couldn't get the wrapper off with my bare hands. I used scissors to open the plastic wrap. I accidently sliced the thread in several places. so I had to pull off the damaged thread. That was a waste. The thread is fine... the packaging is a major problem.
