I'm not a professional baker, but I bake cakes for every birthday and holiday in my family - and I have a BIG family. Even though I have two cake takers, it seems I'm always having to hunt one down in order to make a cake for the next celebration. I was hoping to find disposable cake boxes tall enough to handle a three layer cake. These are tall enough - and would even accommodate a small cake topper. These are going to work perfectly for my needs.I ordered the 8x8x8 boxes, and as you can see in the photo, it's a perfect fit for my 6" cake. I'm not sure an 8" cake would fit unless it didn't have any icing details. I suggest if you are making an 8" cake, size up.The boxes didn't come with any instructions, but they were easy enough to put together. They are not heavyweight boxes. The chipboard is actually pretty thin. They will last long enough to transport the cake, but they aren't super-sturdy and won't provide much protection. However, for the price, they are perfect for my needs since I don't bake for money. I think if you're charging top-dollar as a professional baker, you may what to look for a higher end cake box.

The BEST boxes!!! So easy to box the cake. Perfect size, sturdy and traveled well! I didn’t worry about the cake falling over! Great price also!

The box is very big as expected, the durabulity of the box isnt that great though. It was very easy to assemble it. The design was very cute for the top lid as well. Its functionality is ok, but 100% could have been better
