Not sure why this is just advertised in the title as a heat proof tape purely intended for heat presses for use with vinyl and sublimation based projects. It's essentially a standard Kapton tape which is a very versatile product that I've used in a huge range of applications in electrical and hobbyist use in a huge range of communities for things like 3D printing, coffee machine modding and model making. They do at least allude to the other uses in the product description and the images but they could be hitting a much wider audience by mentioning Kapton and other uses in the title & listing. The only real difference between this and a typical polyimide/Kapton tape is that it's blue rather than the orange or brown that most Kapton tapes are. In every other regard, they perform exactly the same for my uses in the 50-180c range I require.Other than the vendor shooting themselves in the foot by not advertising this to a wider range of people in the title, there is no problem with these rolls. They’re backed with a good adhesive, are reasonably priced, and have had no difficulties electrically insulating and working in relatively high temperatures in my projects. It also doesn’t hurt that the blue colouring makes the tape a lot less visible than the traditional colouring for a Kapton tape.

We do a lot of subbing and although this is the first time we've used this brand, we've have no problems. Seems to be well priced because, as you may well know if you sublimate, you will use a lot of tape. We feel the blue (as opposed to the amber) is excellent for applying pressure on ghosting problem spots. It's better to use a little extra tape rather than wasting a blank and starting over.

These work the same as the yellow kaptan tape for heat pressing on ceramics.I tried a bit of each and there was really no difference. They price seems quite good so they may be a more economical way of buying thermal tape for using with T shirts and cups.I would buy again.

This heat tape is awesome! The rolls are bigger than I thought and it holds so nice to the fabric I use it on for sublimation. Will buy again
