These new filters fit the space in the vacuum correctly and provide adequate filtration for use in our home where we have tile flooring throughout and only vacuum our area rugs. They are, however, made differently than the OEM original filter (note the two sides - blue/black on the replacement) and are considerably thinner than the original). I am not sure that these would provide the same level of filtering if you were using your vacuum in a house with wall to wall carpeting.

These filters work wonderfully and are a perfect fit for my vacuum. Although the smell isn’t super strong it does help everything not smell like hot dust. So there’s that. Super easy to change out and the quality is great for the price.
