My pontoon boat uses these clips. They are hard to find especially the ones that do not rust ... Lol ... They all claim to be stainless, these are!

My scuba BCD doesn't have many places to hook a flashlight, noise maker, SMB, etc (and no pockets) so I had been making do. These marine grade D rings fit right into the buckles and snap snugly (no screws or bolts to get lost). Finally I can carry everything I need!

the description of this item stating, "all parts are made of 316 stainless steel" is either a grift or a misstatement. the retaining spring has a strong enough magnetic pull that it seems to be a ferritic stainless at best. "full marine grade" it is not. at twenty bucks for a pack of four, these ought to be at least what they are advertised as. these will be returned, and i will do what i should have done in the first place – go to a west marine with a magnet and know what i'm buying before i put money down.EDIT 14 JULY: i received the other half of this order, four more of these things. for whatever reason, the second set has legitimate stainless steel retaining springs. they barely attract a neodymium magnet, and are undetectable by a ceramic magnet (the minor magnetic quality is likely a function of work hardening or heat treatment). i will keep these four pins to see how the springs hold up to marine conditions.
