The filers have a square opening instead of the round original. But, they fit in the vacuum perfectly and I can't see any difference in performance from the original filter vs this one. Recommended.

The finish on these aftermarket filters is way better than others I tried. There are four of these for the same price as three cost elsewhere so the price is good. The filters themselves work like a shark filter and don't clog up immediately and I've yet to clog one at all. The fit is tight. That's why I dropped the star and said they're ok and not great. I really have to squeeze the dust cup to get it to latch. That's not a deal breaker, just a pain. Until that is I realized why they were working better, is was because they weren't sealing properly. There's a gap between the filter and the top of the canister big enough to fit folded paper towels through. Not big enough for silolid matter but allowing all the dust particles to blow through the hand vacuum.
