These work well for the purpose they were made for. They are plastic. So, they are not fancy. However, they fit, they function, you get more than one and the price is right. I love that there are multiples as I have three bathrooms.

These fit the standard holders and retract/spring fine for removal and installation. They do the job.

These are essentially exactly what you'd expect, they are basic, they are the same ones that the new build uses for new homes, and the same ones that come with the toilet paper holders to attach to the wall. The spring inside them feel sturdy, it's not fancy or special in any way, but it gets the job done. For the price, I think this is a good value, especially if you're replacing it because your kids are somehow causing them to magically disappear!

These replacement spring rods work for some, but not all, toilet paper holders. The pack includes four white plastic rods. Each one is about 5.5" when fully extended and compresses to around 4.25", not including the end points. The thicker cylinder measures ~0.85" in diameter; the thinner one is ~0.7". The internal springs are a bit noisy when being compressed or extended.I tested these on four different holders in our house. They only worked with one, which has 0.62" diameter receiver holes. The other three holders have 0.75" holes, which allow the thinner cylinder to slip all the way in instead of stopping at the edge. That extra clearance makes the rod too short to stay in place, and it just falls out. These are advertised as universal, but clearly that’s not the case. Before buying, measure the receiver holes on your holders. If they're larger than 0.7", these rods likely won’t work.
