I bought these to help level my lathe. I can now put these blocks on my bed and then place the level on the blocks. This works very well and showed me that my lathe was not as out of level as I thought based on other, cruder measurements.

Put two edges together opposite each other and you can see a lot of light. Put them on your granite block and they rock all over the place. It is definite not suitable for vise work.

Nice parallels overall. The first two pictures in the listing show 4 pair of 1/2" blocks. This set only comes with two pair of 1/2" blocks and two pair of 3/16" blocks. The third picture is an accurate depiction of what will arrive.
