Extremely solid, the perfect size I needed for my 4 by 4 (really 3.5 by 3.5) fenceposts. They look amazing. So much better than the plastic ones, and for not mucu more money! I highly recommend these!!!

So, you might not know that the listed size of lumber is always up to half an inch bigger than the actual piece. So 4x4 posts are never actually 4x4". These caps, being 4x4 are a bit bigger than the posts (see picture) One other thing is that there are only screw holes on two opposite sides. So when you have a post next to a wall (like my last picture) you will only be able to put one screw in. Not a huge deal.Overall these are quality and look really nice. I got them to try and keep cats off the fence (we'll see if that helps)

I wasn't sure, and sometimes it's hard to tell by the picture about the look and quality. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice they appear. They are made from aluminum so they won't rust but only time will tell if they corrode or shed their paint. Fingers crossed.

These aluminum post caps are a really nice way to dress up the finish of a wood fence. They are of substantial thickness that they can not be dented by anything less than a major tree limb. Additionally they protect the end grain of the post from decay and warping.Comes with 2 quality installation screws per cap. I was also happy to see that the inner width dimension of the caps is 3 5/8" so they fit well over rough cut cedar posts.

I thought that these would be cheap post caps. They are not. This is a heavy duty cast aluminum post cap. I was shocked when I took one out of the zip lock bag. They felt heavy for their size with a 1/16 thick wall. The powder coating looks spectacular and the counter sunk holes are definitely a plus. You also get 2 screws per pack. You can actually stand on them and they will not deform. I have a 12 x 60 foot deck and I never installed posts caps. Compared to what I find locally these are much better. Can’t wait to install them this weekend. I definitely recommend these post caps and would purchase them again.
