These are dense metal and are well-formed. The ring is tightly captive. It moves and will likely loosen up with use, but it feels solid. I am using these with my Nissan Frontier Utilitrac rails - mounting several on each side and below the cab window. These will be great for things like cargo nets or tarps, or to secure stacked bags or boxes. The finish is smooth and looks like it will hold up for a while. These are easily worth the money.

This is where Amazon shines as I was looking for the perfect size D ring as a tie down point for me spare tire. Product was well made and a good value. I searched big box and hardware stores. Amazon is my first place I look now.
