These are a great idea! And theres no doubt that, once installed correctly, this holds my phone more snug & reliably in its cradle than without... including at full highway speeds.I ride plenty of miles. And I have a dedicated GPS for touring, but for more routine rides it"s so much easier to get a route on my phone, which means having this device exposed to potential dropping on the road, never to be recovered - disaster scenario.My cradle has worked well for a while; does that mean it will always stay secure, hour after hour, no exceptions ever? Hard to say, though these stretchy grabbers add a high level of reliability and redundancy.The design is great, with a whole perfectly spaced to fit through the gimbal ball of my holder. My one complaint is that, for my standard smartphone in a case, these seem a little smaller / more taut and tense than I would think necessary. Perhaps a larger / XL size possible?No idea for how long - months with little use or days being used continually, in and out, one of these is likely to last. Will update if I start to figure that out.
