2/4 lids failed immediately and 3rd wasn’t sealing properly unless I taped it down. The 4th is still doing great no issues. It seems to be a good quality bucket and easy to clean. It’s disappointing about the lids.

As this is my first time attempting to ferment anything at home, I ordered this set instead of trying to DIY my own setup. I like the large volume and that there's enough to get my friends to try to brew something with me since it's a four pack. The grommet is a tight fit that's still manageable to get on, the airlocks are made of thick plastic, the airlocks also fit snugly into the grommet for a good seal, the volume markings are clear, and the lids seal tightly as well. The handles seem sturdy and have comfortably formed grips, I recommend you install the airlock on the opposite site the handle will sit as the handle doesn't clear it. I'm glad to say there is absolutely no strong chemical smell, the materials used seem well made and thought out.

I am attempting to brew beer for the first time. These buckets seem to be on par with other food grade quality buckets I've seen elsewhere. They are well constructed and durable (the durability was tested when my dog knocked the down the basement steps). As I've found out, most beer recipes are designed for 5 gallon batches and since you need to oversize your fermentation vessel by 20%, you really need to scale your recipe back to use a 5 gallon bucket or do the 5 gallon batch and use the 6.5 gallon bucket.Mechanically speaking, the items are well constructed and all seem to be of high quality and work as designed. I have no negatives about this setup so far.
