Vacmaster (Cleva) told me I would need to buy an entire new shop vacuum in order to replace the failing power switch. Turns out that under the custom switch cover was a standard size switch and these clipped right in. I did have to change the female ends on the wires inside the vacuum, but easy peasy and back in business with one of these switches.

Purchased to replace a blown switch on a 100 cup percolator. Knowing the old switch had been toastified, I used my ampmeter to check heating element draw. It was pulling about 30% over spec ... percolator has been modified for use as a chicken waterer. The good news is that the switch didn't even seem to heat up with the excess current flow.

The light is 120v, I did not notice that when I saw boat...my electrical system is 12v.So they work well as a switch, just don't light which in my application is ok.Otherwise good switch and waterproof cover, and good price for a 4 pack.

I took this apart to add an LED and found that there was already a neon or incandescent indicator bulb in it (along with a high value resistor), which made it easy to convert it to a LED indicator for a 12V system. The switch is held together by the little pins that form the hinge. Then there are tabs that hold the colored face on; and the colored face clamps the rubber grommet in place. There are two spring-loaded pins that actuate the switch contacts and also electrically connect the center terminals to the indicator bulb.
