Needed to upgrade my OEM sensor to a bar 5 bar for tuning. Used this to make my own harness adapting the OEM wiring to a remote AEM sensor for manifold pressure whilst keeping the factory TMAP sensor in service for only the iat readings. Used a boost tap for reference boost pressure and mounted the sensor under the engine cover to retain the OEM look.Plenty of length on the pigtail. Feels sturdy and the connections are solid within the plug itself.The rocking motion the motor experiences under a load tends to put tension on certain parts of the wiring harness causing the wires to become loose in the plug. This creates havoc for the ECM causing check engine lights, surging idle, loss of power and sometimes in limp mode.This harness is a good repair option if your testing indicates the harness does not have continuity from the sensor end to the ECM end. The dealership will recommend an entirely new harness for the whole motor, which will fix the problem. But just repairing the section of the harness causing the problem can save you about $1,500 and last longer, as the new harness will wear out quickly just like the first one because the wiring is still under tension during acceleration. Using the pigtail you can add an inch in length so the motor shifting back and forth won't pull in the sensor plug and actually solve the cause of the drama. Also check the throttle body plug, it's the most common failure in the wiring harness.
