I used a carbide tip for the dremel then switched to these for polishing, worked pretty good.

I just bought my second box of these and they work very well but don't last very long. I've used them for stripping paint from old metal porch columns and from a wood door frame and they were effective on both but now I'm ready for a 3rd box, so buy more than you think you will need.

These were a welcome addition to my Dremel attachments. Fit easily into my handheld Dremel right out of the box. No assembly needed, which was nice. After trying these buffers out in a variety of situations, what I found them very useful for was rust removal. I use them to quickly and effectively remove rust from hand tools, garden tools, rims, bumpers and anything else metal. Prior to getting these, I would use a wired attachment for my power drill to get rust off of things. Often times, I was unable to remove all the rust because I couldn't get into the smaller spaces with the bigger wire attachment. Because these are driven by a handheld Dremel or something comparable, you have much more control and precision. They are small and compact, making them a huge bonus on the smaller jobs. They are disposable so you do burn through one pretty quickly, depending on how you are using them. But you get so many pieces for a decent price, they prove to be a good value for the money.Recommended.

Initially skeptical about these disposable buffing wheels for rotary tools, I now have a set in every rotary tool box at job sites and home. It would be great to have buffing pads available as add-ons for rotary tool sets, but these pads last a lot longer than I thought so won't hit the waste bin as fast as expected.I printed out the chart with the color codes for the different abrasive "grit" ratings and put them in small plastic bags with all 4 grits in a set, or double set of 8 wheels. Bags are with each rotary tool kit at work sites. They do a very nice job on small rust spots and removing stuff from metal or glass surfaces. Even the finest #400 seems to really dull up plastics, so not so great for softer materials.

This package has 40 polishing disks for Dremel-type rotary tools using 1/8” shafts. They are rated as being 120, 180, 320, and 400 grits, but I couldn’t tell much difference either in how they felt nor in how they polished the surface of the steel in my test. The package didn’t come with any labels or guides as to the grit ratings, so for my test I just did my best at placing them in sequence … and somehow managed to get them in the correct order (so maybe subconsciously I could tell some difference between them). Be sure to keep a copy of the guide on the product web page for your reference.I tried to use them to deburr a slight ridge on another piece of steel where my saw blade had roughed up the surface while cutting through a weld joint. But these weren’t able to smooth that out until I took a fine grinding wheel to it first.Likewise these couldn’t cut through paint down to bright metal without first going over it with the grinding wheel. I think 120 grit sandpaper would have been much more effective (although I didn’t try that during my test). All these did was dull the shine on the surface of the paint. So these are just suitable for final buffing and polishing after the surface is already smooth to the touch.

I had never used these buffing wheels before and wasn't sure what they actually were, they looked like fiber brushes in most of the pictures. Once in hand, they look very much like a fine grade of Scotch Brite. Whatever they are, they worked very well at sanding a piece of wood, quickly polishing a piece of anodized aluminum and removing what appeared to be powder coating from an old 3/8" bolt. I'm not sure if the grit grades are accurate or not, the 120 and 180 grit left a smoother finish than I would expect from equivalent grades of wet or dry sandpaper. Both pieces of metal were left with an attractive brushed finish and the wheels worked gratifyingly fast. I'd say these are very much worth adding to anyone's set of rotary tool bits.

Very good abrasive wheels, The works very good but don`t last very long.I love that this set have 10 wheels from each grits size.I usually use them for buffing chrome plates use my Dremel, This set works the same as the Dremel branded ones and cost half so it`s a win win.

These are effective buffing wheels, but it's a good thing you get 40 of these because they wear down fairly quickly. There's also no key so you have to refer back to this sales page to know what grit they are. But for the price, I think these are still a decent deal
