The sprocket is made of ANSI 1045 carbon steel, and the teeth are hardened with HRC38-42 with high-frequency quenching heat treatment

This is a pretty heavy duty idler sprocket. It would be just about right for large equipment where an idler is necessary.Pros: The bearing runs smooth and true. I believe that the bearing is press fitted only. The teeth mesh well with the #40 chain I have around. It looks like a fine product and have little doubt it will last a while.Cons: I appreciate seeing snap rings to hold the bearings in, but I realize that a lot of commercial idlers do not.
