CD60 Capacitor Core Functions
Increased Starting Torque
CD60 can significantly increase the motor torque at the start-up moment (typical increase is about 50%) by introducing the phase difference of the auxiliary windings, which helps to overcome the inertia load resistance.
Short-time Operation Mode
Intervenes in the circuit only during the motor start-up phase (typically lasting 2-5 seconds) and is automatically cut off by the centrifugal switch when the speed reaches 80%-90% of the rated value.

I used this to replace a failed capacitor on a Delta dust collector. It did the job and the price was right. Only problem was it was a bit larger around than the original which was in a thinner aluminum case. Because it was bigger, I had to stretch out the old housing to make it fit.
