This is a safety component for gas fired forced air furnaces. It checks to make certain enough pressure / vacuum is present when the blower is running so that the exhaust etc. is working correctly. Tested trigger pressure with manometer and seems to be right on the money / triggers at the correct value(s).The backstory is that I called my local AC / heating repair companies and the lowest quote I received was $395 to replace this part. I was told lead time for the part would be a week or two which was unacceptable as it was the middle of winter. I was able to locate this on the site and get it delivered in a few days - and then simply repair the part of my own.Note that I have a manometer of my own so between that and the furnace error code, I was able to determine the faulty component myself. If you aren't sure, it may be worth getting a professional to do the work - if you can afford it.
