This is by far the nicest tap and die set I have owned. It is so well made down to the case. It is really impressive when you first open it up all shiny and new. The dies have a lot of weight to them and are obviously made with good tool steel. I would love to get the matching set in SAE but haven't been able to locate the exact same one so far.

Like this 45 Pcs. set of taps and dies. Made of steel that I'm sure has been heat treated in some way. They cut Very nicely and feel well made. The tap wrenches/handles are sturdy and feel good in your hand as you turn it you feel you have full control. All other included Acessories are equal well made (Minus screwdriver it sucks). Case is of some sort of PVC type plastic and holds items in securely enough they don't go flying around as you carry or open it. As I work on restoring cars and mechanical work out of my home's garage, I find the sizes include in this set to be all I'll ever need so it makes it a nice tap/die set to have.

I was expecting to get a workable, but substandard tap and tie set, but what I got was so much more! The only thing I didn't realize until after, was that it's a "METRIC" set. No issues, I can still use this well put together set. It has all of the appropriate taps , dies and handles needed to make or repair most holes and screws. Can't wait till spring! RecommendedTada!

The title says it all - when you usually need to use a tap set, it's not usually ideal situations. Like you twisted the head off a bolt, or stripped it into a circle. Even then, tapping is not the top option. With that said, I tried a couple test taps, and this worked just fine and created perfect taps into some stainless steel I had. For the price, it is definitely cheaper than having someone else do it for you. Or travel to you, and then do it lol

This review is for "45 Piece Metric Tap and Die Set, External and Internal Thread Cutting & Repair Tool Kit, Essential Threading Wrench Included".The material of construction is high quality, and both the inner and outer threading looks exceptional. The variety is great - you're not likely to encounter something that you can't tackle with this kit.The plastic molded case is as good as any, I'm thankful to have it for all of these pieces. These tools have a good, heavy feel in the hand. I wish it had a little extra room for penetrating oil, but other than that, this is an awesome kit. Great purchase.
