If had this stuck to a powder coated metal plate for about 2 weeks with weight pulling the magic arm and the suction is holding. I really like that there is a visual indication that suction is being maintained. As to the rest, it seems to be super robust and versatile. So many 1/4-20 and 1/8-16 holes with locating holes. The magic arm is nice quality and the twist nuts feel very secure. If I ever damage or wear out the suction cup itself, the rest of the block will still be really useful at some point I'm sure.I was thinking that if I wanted even more insurance of a secure hold on an actual vehicle, I could use magic arms and connect more magnets or suction cups to this main one.A very nice part especially for the price point.

Got this mounted on inside of my car's windshield and it is ROCK solid. No wiggly waggly, no jostling, nothing. The top side has 3 3/8" 16t slots straight across as well as 2 1/4" 20t on the flanking sides. There are 2 more 1/4" 20t mounting points on the outer facing sides with 4 lugs around each. I stuck a railed handle on the top center mounting spot. I'm pretty sure I could uninstall the windshield if I yanked on it too hard. After a few weeks, the vacuum didn't seem to lose any strength and I could push the button maybe a fourth of one complete actuation.

This is one of the better suction cup mounts that I've seen. It has 1/4 20 screw holes all over so you can find many ways to mount the arm. The pump suction mechanism here ensures that you get a solid connection every time, as you just keep pumping until the cup sticks completely. Horizontal or vertical surfaces mounted the same way, although if you have a surface with too much curve, it won't stay sealed. The magic arm is nice, metal, and feels up to the task of holding a phone or action camera. The included phone and action camera mounts are nothing special, however. The only criticism I have here is that releasing the suction cup is done via two "ears" on the edges of the cup, so it is possible that something could bump them and you would lose this mount.

This is a well-made camera suction mount that I can trust with my equipment. There's not too many mounts that meet my safety standards, but this one has me impressed. It's quality made using alloy materials, a large 4.5" suction mount and incorporates an effective little vacuum pump. To use, choose an attachment surface on the car that is smooth, clean and flat. Windows are typically the best surfaces. I washed off and dried the windows prior to attaching the mount. Place the mount firmly against the surface and then press the pump about 8 times until it firmly locks in place and the white line on the pump is hidden. Let it sit for a minute then test the vacuum it by attempting to pull it off. If it's properly mounted it won't budge even when pushed or pulled vertically or horizontally.Equally impressive to me was the design of the "magic arm." It's made of two ball joints that incorporate a rubber ring. The rings serve to lock the joints in place when the wing nut is tightened and they don't budge. I've used lots of devices with a hard plastic or metal ball joints and they all move. This design stays in place. In addition, there are two spring loaded pins on the mount surfaces that provide an extra layer of protection to keep the camera from loosening.Bottom Line: I have tested this on bumpy roads with action cams and the mount stays in place. But I still am planning on using a small safety line to the mount just in case. Excellent construction, design and execution. This mount opens up new doors of creativity and is great for small cameras. I wouldn't recommend it for mirrorless cameras or DSLR's. Excellent quality for a reasonable price!

One of the first questions I have with suction mounts is whether it will stay put for as long as I want. So I immediately placed it on the side of a file cabinet, pumped it down and watched. It did not move for days. No issue. Just as it should be.The mounting head if flexible and secure. Double jointed for options. Threaded and action fork mount options.
