The wheel that hold the blade in rides on the ruler so does not cut. The blade does not retract either. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Love that the blade is controlled with spring action. Seems to be abit safer to use. The blades have perfect cutting! Great value with the extra blades. Great price. Will buy again. : ) Use with caution, the button to tighten blade loosens!

I was very happy with the quality of this rotary cutter. I used this to cut and trim more than 64 6 1/2 inch quilt blocks that were paper pieced(rotary cut through the paper as well. All of that on the first blade! I really like the safety handle, easy to use, but impossible to set down with an open blade. I am very pleased.

I purchased these to cut leather for covers I make for cuff bracelets. They were easy to use. They have a safety lock. The cut is smooth and accurate, much better than using scissors. I like the color because it’s easy for me to find it in my tools. The leather I cut is a 1-2oz weight. I don’t know how it would work on a heavier leather. I am happy with the safety features and grip. Came with extra blades. Great for my needs without breaking the bank.

The cutter worked well until I need to change the blade. Not able to unscrew the thing to remove the blade. Even my husband can’t remove it. Also, the spring loaded handle that moves the blade doesn’t move. Maybe I got dud cutter. I’m not impressed with it.

Had a small project and needed a rotary cutter. This cutter worked great and saved me a ton of time. I only used one blade and it stayed sharp. Happy to get a few spare blades. The locking button works both ways, so you can lock in safe, or lock it down. The is all plastic construction and weighs very little, probably best for light duty.

First, I admit that I have never used a cutting wheel before. But when I received this product, I noticed that the washer on it was bent (see picture). I wasn't sure if this would affect the function, so I inquired. The seller promptly (& kindly) sent me another set right away to replace it. That is fantastic customer service. Kudos to the seller for being so wonderful!I have used it to cut fabric and to me, it is SO much easier than scissors. I think this is because I have better control over where the blade is going, and the blade is SUPER sharp - cutting through multiple layers of fabric like butter! I guess I am just kicking myself for waiting so long to try the cutting wheel method when cutting fabric. I may just start sewing again now that it is so easy!!Highly recommend this product. Razor sharp blade, gives the seamstress complete control of the cutting experience.

I bought this for cutting leather. The blades are great, nice and sharp, cuts right through the leather. The body of the cutter is very light weight plastic and feels like it will crack or separate easily with a little use. Also, the release/lock button for the blade sticks and is hard to use. I have a fiskars cutter for sewing that is much easier to use but the blades are not as sharp. With a little sturdier body and reliable release button, this would be an excellent cutter.

Not too good for cutting material. Needed multiple passes.

The first few times I used the cutter, it worked perfectly and better than expects. After a few time though, the nut holding the blade on fell off and the whole thing fell apart. I think I finally figured out how it all goes back together, but it seems to fall apart easily still. I believe the problem is that I can only rotate the blade in one direction while cutting. If I go the other way, it causes the nut to come loose. It's been working fine since I figured that out. I wish there were a better method to keep the blade on than self-tightening.
