A Set Screw is a type of screw generally used to secure an object within or against another object. Set screws are most often headless, meaning that the screw is fully threaded and has no head projecting past the major diameter of the screw thread. The set screw passes through a threaded hole in the outer object and is tightened against the inner object to prevent it from moving relative to the outer object.

Used set screws to screw into some anchors in my shop floor. Used them to keep dirt out of the threads in the anchors and keep shop floor smooth. Easy to sweep over these instead of having a bolt head sticking up.

when I need parts, I spend probably more time than necessary looking for the right quantity at the right price with the quickest delivery times. I ordered these because I needed a few for not a lot of money very quick. I recommend these for those who need them quick and cheap.

I was cutting some tall weeds with the scythe and noticed the blade was a bit wobbly. One of the set screws had fallen out. There was no way to find it in the piles of cut grass and weeds.The scythe company (Marugg) where I bought the scythe 10 years ago is still in business but they don't sell replacement set screws.Thanks, Hillman, I am back in the cordless weed whacker business. ;-)
