Where I live large snakes are pretty common, so I decided I'd like to have a good pole available if I encountered any. So far I haven't gotten to test the pole on live snakes, but have been able to go about the house using it pick up various objects of different weights. If it can handle picking up a heavy bag, then I'm confident it'll handle a snake of similar size with little issue.The included snake holding bags and gloves were a nice touch. Overall this pole it was easy to put together, and I feel like the build quality is reasonably solid.

We live in the woods and have chickens and ducks as pets. We have black rat snakes who think our fowl houses are a buffet. They slither up in the coops and eat all the eggs they can find. The black snakes eat other less desirable pests so we try to live in harmony with them. This grabber is great for removing a snake when they've overstayed their welcome in a fowl house. We also have some very undesirable and unwelcome snakes, specifically copperheads. This grabber will work great for getting rid of those snakes as well.The locking feature on the hinge is really nice. It gives peace of mind that the grabber won't accidentally bend while it's being used and makes it feel more sturdy. I'm not really sure about the snake bag and gloves. I think those might be more useful if you're dealing with pet snakes or perhaps if you're moving snakes a longer distance.

Comes with a bag and seems very practical. I got concerned after I saw a snake wandering around my house so got this immediately. Looking to use it today, comes with a bag as well and nice design compared to other ones that I have seen.

We have issues with snakes getting in our basement. I decided to get one of these so it’s easier to get them out when it happens.Seems well made. The handles squeezes easily and the end closes just fine.I like that it keeps the snakes a good distance away from you. 5 stars

I haven't actually needed to use this yet, but its very well made with a lock so you can safely put a snake in the included bag one handed. It has very little give or flex, so it's plenty sturdy as well as a good size cable connecting the trigger to the clamp. I anticipate needing this on my new property as I've already ran across a few snakes and want to hang onto them long enough to see if they are venomous. i just moved to a different region and I don't recognize most of the critters around here.

We get snakes at our house every spring, and this design was a great set up for what I needed to capture and hold our snakes. The weight of the item was a little but light, thus the 4 star rating, but it worked great, held on to the snake nicely, and it also comes with mesh bags if you want to catch and release .So easy to use and it keeps the snake a long way from your body when you need to handle it.Great purchase!
