Installed in a 2004 Subaru Forester last week along with a new expansion valve. I found the disassembly and reassembly required under the dashboard very difficult as a first-timer. A word of warning when removing the old core from its slot. There is a temperature sensor installed in the fins toward the rear of the core and during removal you can rip the wires right out while attempting to clear the opening, wiring harnesses and such. Ask me how I know. After reassembly was completed, I hooked up vacuum gauges and pump, ran for an hour then waited an hour. Vacuum held. Finally I recharged the system. The new core has been working perfectly. It does not have the same foam wrap of the original Subaru core but this does not affect operation.One oddity- there was a label on the box stamped 4711915 but the other end of the box was labeled Universal Air Conditioner EV939775PFC. So although the description and paperwork said Global Parts it appears that the evaporator is actually by UAC.
